Our recent fixtures were a bit challenging for us, with matches across multiple age groups. Our teams faced strong opposition, and while results were mixed, there were positive takeaways in performance, effort, and sportsmanship.
U7 Team
Result: Draw

Highlights:
-The U7 players displayed great teamwork and energy, keeping the game competitive throughout.

U9 Team
Result: Loss

"Tough 3-1 loss for this year’s first match, the team played brilliantly though and showed great teamwork and resilience. Proud of our effort and spirit on the field."
U11 Team

Highlights:
- -Some excellent individual skills were displayed, particularly in dribbling and passing.
- -The team showed great effort and composure and dominated possession for long periods.
Coach Zabu Misesi Remarks:
"With 98% of our players recently promoted from U9, the match served as an important learning experience at U11 level. Our main objective for the game was communication and movement. Communication was executed well, while there is still room for improvement in movement of the ball. Although the results didn’t go our way, it was a positive performance and a promising start to the season for our young team."
U13 Team
Result: Loss

- -The team showed strong attacking intent at times but struggled defensively.
- -Several players demonstrated leadership and creativity on the ball.
Coach Eugene’s Remarks:
"We faced a tough opponent, but players gave their all. Focus will be on defensive organization, fitness and tactical awareness in upcoming training sessions."
U15 Team
Result: Loss

Highlights:
- -The team played with commitment but lacked intensity.
- -Missed chances and defensive lapses cost us the game.
Coach Njuguna’s Remarks:
"The team started on a high note but after sometime, their energy dropped and they conceded two quick goals. Their heads dropped, fear took over and ended up conceding seven goals. However they managed to finish the game at a high level."
Overall Summary:
While most categories faced tough results today, the spirit of Chipuka Academy was on full display. Coaches observed areas for improvement and highlighted players’ effort, teamwork, and resilience. Training sessions will focus on technical skills, tactical awareness, fitness levels and building confidence for upcoming matches.
